PANTHER DAY!!!

Members of the Whitman-Hanson Hockey Boosters would like to invite members of the Whitman-Hanson community to Panther Day at the Rockland Rink this Saturday, January 21st at 5:50pm.

Every child that wears their WHK hockey jersey and brings 5 or more canned goods or dry goods, will be admitted free. The donated canned goods will be split between the Whitman and Hanson food pantries to help members of our community that are in need. We also invite adults to please feel free to donate canned goods as well, although free admission will be reserved for our “Future Panthers”.

Please join us in cheering for our hometown Panthers as they take on Patriot League rivals, the North Quincy Red Raiders and join us in helping our community.

We look forward to seeing you there!

SPECIAL 50/50 RAFFLE TONIGHT VS. DUXBURY

Duxbury will be running a special 50/50 raffle tonight. Justin Bailey, a 17 year old Senior on the Natick HS Hockey team, died unexpectedly last week of natural causes. All proceeds will benefit the Justin Bailey memeorial Fund that has been set up at Middlesex Savings Bank. Thank you all in advance for your support of the raffle. Sincerely, Coach Manning

Jared is a freshman who plays RW with a right-handed shot. His hockey experience comes from WHK Hawks.  Jared enjoys fishing and street hockey. His most memorable moment was "winning the Waterville Valley Hockey tournament".

Ryan Duclos

Ryan is a Sophomore who plays RW with a right-handed shot. His previous hockey experience has been with WHK and the Conquistadors. Ryan also has played lacrosse, basketball, baseball and soccer. His most memorable hockey moment was "scoring my 50th goal in my peewee season".
 
 
 
Coach Bina: "Ryan is a first-year guy. At times he shows that he can be an impact guy."

Jeremiah McArthur

Jeremiah is a Freshman who plays Center with a right-handed shot.  His previous hockey experience includes "Little Champions" at NECDL, WHK Hawks, Hanover Indians and  Coach Chic with NEHI.  Jeremiah has also played football, baseball and basketball. He enjoys working out, hanging out with friends and playing video games.  Jeremiah's most memorable hockey moment was "scoring 4 goals in a game while playing for NECDL as a squirt".

Nick Pike (Captain)

Nick is a Senior Captain at WH who plays Center and has a right-handed shot.  Nick has been playing hockey since he was 5. He has played for WHK Hawks, 95 Dynamos, 95 Bridgewater Bandits and U16 & U18 Breakers' teams. Nick has also played baseball & cross country for WH.   Nick's most memorable hockey moment is "winning the U16 Tier I Championship with the Breakers".


Coach Bina: "Nick is a team leader who has the ability to make others on his line better players."

Alex Miner

Alex is a Senior who plays wing and has a right-handed shot.  Alex has played hockey since he was a Mite with the WHK Hawks.  Alex also plays soccer and tennis.  He likes going to the gym, sports and relaxing.  He also is a soccer referee.  Alex's most memorable hockey moment was "getting a hat-trick in the varsity game vs. New Bedford in the 11/12 season".

Coach Bina: "Alex is a quiet leader who plays hard and gets the most out of himself."

Kyle Bina

Kyle is a Freshman at WH who plays left wing with a left-handed shot.  Prior to playing at WH, his hockey experience has mostly been on the 98 Bay State Breakers (Elite).  He also played for the WHK Hawks in his early days.  Kyle also plays football, lacrosse and likes to work out.
His most memorable hockey moment was "dropping CC and giving him stitches."

Alec Sicuranza

Sicuranza #7


Alec is a Senior who plays Defense with a left-handed shot.  Prior to playing hockey at WH, he has played for the WHK Hawks and the Bay State Breakers. Alec does landscaping and has also played baseball and lacrosse.
His most memorable hockey moment is "getting the game-winning goal in Marlboro with 3.9 seconds left in the game"!

Coach Bina: "Sicky is a solid D-man with some offensive skill."



Jake Bowen


BOWEN #2

Jake is a senior with a right-handed shot who plays Center.  Prior to his WH career, he played for the WHK Hawks.
Jake works at Stop and Shop.
His most memorable hockey moment was "winning against Bishop Stang in the 2011-2012 season."

Coach Bina: "Bowen is a tough, hard-nosed player."

Jon Emery

Jon is a Senior at WH who plays LW with a left-handed shot. His previous hockey experience has been with WHK and the Wildcats.  Jon also plays soccer for WH.  His most memorable hockey moment was "winning 4-1, starting the game on Bowen and Murphy's line."
 
 
Coach Bina: "Jon is fast and physical. He is improving every day."

Zach Burke

Zach is a Sophomore who plays Center with a left-handed shot.  His previous experience includes Bay State Breakers, WHK Hawks and SS Dynamos.  Zach also plays baseball and golf.  His most memorable hockey moment was "scoring my first varsity goal."
 
Coach Bina: "Zach is one of the smartest players on the team. He plays in every situation for us."

Chris Ryan

Chris is a Senior at WH who plays forward with a right-handed shot.  He has played for WHK since he was a Mite.  Chris also plays football and track for WH.  His most memorable hockey moment was "scoring in my first varsity game."
 
Coach Bina: "Chris is the most consistent player. He shows up and gives his best effort every day."

Jake Pendrak

Jake is a Senior at WH who plays forward with a right-handed shot.  His previous hockey experience comes from the WHK Hawks, Bay State Breakers and NEHI.  Jake also plays baseball and golf for WH. His most memorable hockey moment was "the game against Bishop Stang in the New Bedford Tourney last year."
 
Coach Bina: "Jake makes other goalies cringe with his booming shot!"

Chris Boussy (Captain)

Chris is a Senior Captain at WH who plays RW with a right-handed shot. His previous hockey experience includes WHK Hawks, 95 SS Dynamos and the Bay State Breakers U16 and U18 teams.  Chris also plays lacrosse and does landscaping and plowing.  Chris' most memorable hockey moment was "getting my first varsity hatty."
 
Coach Bina: "Boussy has great skill set and is fun to watch."
 

Nick Villanueva

VILLANUEVA #15
 
Nick is a Sophomore who plays defense with a right-handed shot.  His previous hockey experience is with WHK Youth Hockey.  Nick also plays football and baseball and also does some refereeing.  His most memorable hockey moment was "when I scored in a hockey tournament against Bishop Stang and my brother assisted it."
 
Coach Bina: "Nick is a physical presence for us and he can also add punch to the offense."

Andrew Wareham

WAREHAM #11

Andrew is a Sophomore at WH who plays defense with a left-handed shot. Previously Andrew has played for the WHK Hawks, Bay State Breakers, and NECDL Classics. He also plays baseball, golf and participates in boxing.  Andrew's most memorable hockey moment was "scoring 4 goals in one game."


Coach Bina: "Wareham is a first year varsity player who plays with an edge. Going to be a great player for us."

Alex Burbank

BURBANK #9
 
Alex is a Sophomore at WH who plays LW with a lefty shot.  He has played for WHK, Breakers, NEHI, Wildcats AAA.  Alex also plays baseball and golf.  In his free time, Alex likes to play golf and hockey.  His most memorable hockey moment was "getting 3 goals in 1 shift for the Wildcats."
 
Coach Bina: "I like everything about him...cares, plays hard and only a sophomore."

Ryan Small

SMALL #1
 
Ryan is a Senior at WH who plays Goalie.  He has previously played for WHK Hawks, the SS Town Cup and the SS Coaches League.  Ryan also plays baseball for WH.  His most memorable hockey moment was "playing in the tournament last year in Providence."
 
Coach Bina: "Ryan is the ultimate Panther. He has been playing goalie for only a few years and has won some big games for us."

Matt Drew

DREW #3
 
Matt is a Senior at WH who plays left-wing with a left-handed shot.  He previously has played for the WHK Hawks.  Matt also plays baseball and basketball.  His most memorable hockey moment was "Waterville Valley."
 
Coach Bina:  "Drew is a great kid who works hard on and off the ice."

Mike Bonavita

BONAVITA #29
 
Mike "Bono" is a Junior at WH who plays goaltender. His previous goalie experience has been with WHK Hawks and Global Hockey.  In his spare time, Mike does some officiating and helps out with the TV/Radio at the high school.  Mike's most memorable hockey moment was "playing Scituate for the 2nd time last year and winning 4-2!"
 
Coach Bina:  "Bono works very hard at his craft. He is a very coachable player."

Liam Sweeney

SWEENEY #5
 
Liam is a Freshman who plays defense with a right-handed shot. He has previously played for WHK, Breakers and SS Kings.  Liam also plays football and lacrosse.  His most memorable hockey moment was "when I scored in OT to win the game."
 
COACH BINA: "Liam's compete level is off the charts."

Dylan Thomas

THOMAS #20
 
Dylan is a Freshman who plays Goalie.  His prior experience includes WHK and the Bridgewater Bandits.  Dylan also plays lacrosse and football.  He loves playing any kind of sport when he has free time.  His most memorable hockey moment was "winning the championship."
 
Coach Bina: "Dylan has lots of potential and is very athletic in the net."

Alex Carr

Alex is a Freshman who plays defense with a left-handed shot.  His previous hockey experience includes WHK and the Bay State Breakers.  Alex also plays baseball and basketball.  His most memorable hockey moment was "scoring his first hat-trick".

Andy Shepardson

Andy is a Junior who plays defense with a left-handed shot.  His hockey experience prior to WH was with Pembroke Youth Hockey.  Andy also plays baseball.  His most memorable hockey moment was "scoring his first varsity goal against Silver Lake".
